The European Autumn Tour - Now known as

The Captain's Tour

In 2000 the late John Moore, together with several other worthies, decided that they wanted to broaden their golfing horizons and plotted a trip across the English Channel to France, and so it was that year that our first tour materialised.

John Moore himself organised that trip, during which travellers of the day report another sadly missed member, Mick McKenna, emerged as the Champion golfer over the three rounds played. However, John, being far from stupid, passed over the management and admin reins to Theo Ziffo long before planning began for the 2002 tour.  Theo then organised the very successful annual tours during the next seven years, before handing over to Roger Sillence, who has managed the business since 2009.

A complement of around 20 golfers is usually achieved and whilst some Captains are clearly more intent on enjoying the après golf stuff, rather than what actually occurs on the links, there is usually a firm consensus that declares each trip hugely enjoyable and successful.

Tours so far have been to France, Belgium and Scotland
